On Better Caring, you’re in charge! As an independent support worker, you set your own rates and hours and choose the clients you want to work with. Connecting directly with clients means you have the potential to earn more and your clients get more support.

How to get started

Think about the services you’d like to offer, and what qualifications you need to provide them. All workers using the platform will need a police check and an ABN. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you how as you go through registration.

Social Support & domestic assistance

Ideal for people new to the industry, this might include companionship, help around the house or support getting out and about. You don’t need specific qualifications

Personal Care

Includes showering, toileting and mealtime assistance.You’ll need a relevant qualification or minimum two years’ experience in aged care or disability services

Nursing Services

You must be a registered or enrolled nurse and have more than one year of relevant nursing experience

Allied Health

Open to psychologists, physiotherapists, speech pathologist or occupational therapists who are registered with a professional association

1. Complete your profile

Create a profile that will help clients get to know you better. You’ll include your skills and experience, rates, availability and interests. You’ll need to provide references and we’ll need to do some checks

2. Get approved and receive work

People looking for support will contact you directly . Together, you can agree the rates, hours and services that work for you both

3. Manage your jobs online

Keep track of your clients, timesheets and payments all through the Better Caring platform, available online and through the mobile app

Once you and your client agree hourly rate, we deduct 10% admin fee. For this , you get
