How to get started in easy steps
Think about the services you’d like to offer, and what qualifications you need to provide them. To work as an OT on the platform, you need to be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). If you’re still studying, you can get valuable experience offering social and domestic assistance directly to clients.
Social Support & domestic assistance
Ideal for people new to the industry, this might include companionship, help around the house or support getting out and about. You don’t need specific qualifications
Includes showering, toileting and mealtime assistance.You’ll need a relevant qualification or minimum two years’ experience in aged care or disability services
You must be a registered or enrolled nurse and have more than one year of relevant nursing experience
Open to psychologists, physiotherapists, speech pathologist or occupational therapists who are registered with a professional association

Keep track of your clients, timesheets and payments all through the Better Caring platform, available online and through the mobile app
