Lodgement of Claims

Claims Process

Step 1 – Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd
Once your claim form has been received, your Gow-Gates Claims Advisor will verify that:

  • the liability arose as a result of approved care work undertaken via the Better Caring platform, and/or
  • you were travelling to or undertaking approved care work via the Better Caring platform at the time of the injury.

Step 2 – Zurich Australian Insurance Limited
Once verified, your Gow-Gates Claims Advisor will review your claim form and supporting documentation to ensure you have provided all the information necessary to lodge the claim on your behalf.

Your claim will be lodged with Zurich’s claims team who will review the claim in conjunction with the relevant policy and then determine if indemnity is to be accepted.

Once determined, your Gow-Gates Claims Advisor will liaise with the insured affiliated carer directly and the applicable deductible will need to be paid by the claimant if they wish to proceed with the claim.
