Artful is a free creative art program for people living with dementia at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The Artful program focuses on providing people with dementia with pleasurable experiences through creative engagement. 

Artful is a research initiative that is conducted in collaboration with the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney and Alzheimer’s Australia NSW. This research focuses on exploring how art can enhance well-being for people with dementia.

Each program is individually tailored by Artist Educators to suit the specific needs and interests of the participants. The program includes gallery explorations and hands-on creative artmaking sessions.


Where: The Museum of Contemporary Art in the Rocks, Sydney

When: Programs begin every two months

Cost: Free
